Who We Are
Building entrepreneurs through the arts
Dime Studios is a multi use creative hub for young people and adults in the community. With many youth clubs and community centres slowly being closed down, Dime Studio is a small studio that is used to help local creatives nurture their talent. From dancers, to photographers to musicians we try and cater for all local talent. We also have had people with disabilities come and utilise our space for dance classes. Without funding or government assistance, Dime was created by 2 young females trying to make a difference by inspiring young people to incubate their creative businesses, giving them a place to go to nurture their talent, instead of hanging out on the streets.
With the help from the Aviva Community Fund, Dime Studio has been able to reach the wider community and start the process of encouraging creative enterprise and entrepreneurs. With a fresh makeover, walls have been repainted, the photography screens fixed and the studio fixed. The cosmetic refurbishments have made the space more fit for purpose.
The music studio will soon get new sound proofing and D.I.M.E will soon offer events and lessons for development for the community. All these improvements help the space to feel more welcoming to young people and adults who request this space to incubate their businesses and we look forward to showing the community the growth of the business ongoing.
